How to Download YouTube Videos on iPhone

Downloading media directly to iOS devices (iPhone and iPad) can be frustrating due to Apple’s strict file system security permissions. However, using modern browsers and the native Files app, the process is straightforward.

In this guide, we show you how to download videos to your iPhone using Safari and YTSave.

Steps for iPhone Video Downloads

1. Copy URL: Tap the Share button in the YouTube app and select Copy Link.
2. Open Safari: Open Safari and visit YTSave.
3. Paste & Analyze: Paste the link and tap Analyze.
4. Choose Format: Tap on your desired MP4 quality, then tap Convert & Download.
5. Save to Files: Safari will show a pop-up confirmation: “Do you want to download…”. Tap Download. You can access the video inside your Files app under the Downloads folder.
